COPS OFFERED a $10,000 reward Tuesday for the arrest of a gunman who killed a young mom with a stray bullet in the Bronx.
The NYPD offered the cash for help in solving the slaying of Cindy Diaz, who was hit in the chest and arm on Boston Road near E. Tremont Ave. in West Farms at about 5:40 p.m. Friday.
Paramedics rushed Diaz to St. Barnabas Hospital, where she died. "She was an innocent person," Angel Rosario, Diaz's former longtime boyfriend and father of her four children, said Saturday. "All she was doing was getting food for her kids."
Police believe the gunman was targeting a young man standing near Diaz who was grazed by a bullet. The wounded man, who showed up for treatment at Jacobi Medical Center after the shooting, has refused to cooperate with investigators, police sources said.
Cops released surveillance video of a suspect Monday.
Anyone with information is asked to call (800) 577-TIPS.
